Foodbank

Last Foodbank of the year and I did a great job counting the tea bags and bagging them up.It was a very busy day with lots of food parcels being sent out.

Blessed Dressed!

I had a lot of fun at Arohanui's annual Christmas party, it was a fairy tale and Disney theme, we were dressed up as Alice in wonder land characters, My mum, Dad and I won best dressed family! I had a lovely dinner and enjoyed seeing all the cool costumes. 

Mosaic masterpiece

I have worked really hard to finish my mosaic name plaque for my bedroom. I choice the coloured tiles that I wanted, glued them into place and then out powdered paint into the grout to make it pink. It turned out so cool! I am very proud of it. 

Christmas trees

Spent Friday afternoon checking out the giant Christmas trees around Tauranga.

Soccer match

I Had lots of fun at the soccer match against Wilrose. I did really well and kicked the ball lots.

A ride in a T-Bird

I was lucky to have a ride in our friend Donna's T-Bird , it had a really loud engine, and it is an American car. It was strange to see the driver sitting on the wrong side of the car!!

Foodbank

It's great to be at Foodbank at the new building,it's huge ! Lots of room to store all the food ready for the ladies to make up the food parcels.Today Nicky and I measured and bagged up icing sugar and cocoa for the baking section,busy ,busy !

Cooking

This morning I cut fruit to make a yummy fruit salad. It is very healthy for you. I love fruit salad.

Making instruments

I had fun making my musical  instrument. I picked out all the pretty colours and can't wait till next week to make the rest of it. 

Cookery

This morning we made ginger lemonade.I squeezed the lemons into a jug,we added water and ginger and a tiny ammount of sugar before cooking it in a pot.Then we poured it into jugs to cool.Yumm ,a delicious healthy drink to share !

Visiting the donkeys

I had so much fun feeding the donkeys their carrots they had really big teeth and ate a lot of carrots. I had fun with all the animals and can't wait to go again.

High tea

We all went out to the trinity wharf a high tea. It was lovely.  We had lots of sandwiches and cakes and of course tea.

The illumination

Had a lovely time at the illuminarium, was amazing.  All the different lights was so cool.

Collecting driftwood

Springtime

Foodbank was cancelled so we enjoyed some pottery and then a walk to Greerton to see the blossom trees....Spring is here !!

Hamilton

I enjoyed my trip to the excite museum in Hamilton. I really liked the maze conveyabelt machine where I had to turn the cogs to make it work. The musical tubes where fun. The lights  that we got to make work were fun to.

Happy days!

Went for a lovely walk to the racecourse at Lunchtime.  We climbed some trees, enjoyed the shade and took some pics.

Cookery

This morning I made Ox-Eye Eggs.I used a cutter and took a circle out of a piece of toast.I then broke an egg and put this into the hole.The toast keeps it all together.Then I popped it in the oven for 10 minutes.........yummmm !!!

Baseball match

Had a great time at our baseball match against Wilrose Centre.  It was just a friendly match so we didn't keep score, it was lots of fun.

Happy birthday

Happy birthday! I've been having the best day and even brought a chocolate birthday cake to share with everybody.

AIMS Games

We went and watched some of the aims games badminton.  They were all really good badminton players, we even got to meet some of the Pongokawa School badminton players.

Cooking

We learnt how to soft boil an egg.I helped to choose the correct saucepan and spoon needed to lower the egg into the water.I made a slice of toast and cut it into finger size slices...the egg was runny and perfect for dipping !!

James Bond photo shoot

Had a very exciting afternoon with a James Bond photo shoot. I even got to go for a ride in an Aston Martin 

Daffodil day collection

It was lots of fun helping out with the daffodil day collection. We helped raised lots of money.

Dialled indoor tramp park

Yesterday we went to the tramp park, I loved it.  It was so much fun jumping really high on the trampolines.

Winter wonderland photo shoot

Had so much fun in the sensory room for photography doing our winter wonderland photo shoot. 

In the sun

We went for a walk in the sun to look at the trees all covered in wool.  They looked amazing.

Master chef

I made some really yummy cupcakes with bright purple icing on them.  I love cupcakes.

At the beach

Had a very cool photo shoot at the mount beach Friday afternoon.  

Chocolate Eclairs

We made chocolate Eclairs to share with our friends.

Making butter

We made butter.  We put cream into a jar and shook it until it turned into milk and buttermilk.  We counted to twenty forwards and backwards lots of times.  We made sushi sandwiches by rolling our bread flat and turning it into flat bread.  We made sandwiches for our friends.  Yummy.

Basketball match

I played in our basketball match today.  It was lots of fun, I got really tired.

Holiday in auckland

I haven't been in at Arohanui much over the last week because I've been on holiday visiting my family in Auckland.  It was lots of fun.

Glow disco

On Friday we had a shared Lunch of pumpkin soup and then enjoyed a boggie down at the glow disco in the sensory room.

Katikati trip

Our photography group went to katikati to photograph some of the awesome murals that are painted on the walls there.  It was a very cool day out we even got to have lunch next to a huge eel

Cooking

I made the yummiest cheese scones in cooking.   

Visiting Te Puke

Had a lovely day out at Te Puke yesterday.  We had lunch, and I had another go on the tandem bike. I went a small way on the bike.  We even got to have a quick play at the park

Hanging with my friends

We were having a lovely time in music hanging out together listening to music on the iPad

Bike riding

Yesterday we went and had a go of riding the random bike that Te Puke Studio has.  It was lots of fun, I was very brave and had a go of sitting on the bike.

Cherry Box

I added cherries to our little clay box.I stuck them on with slip after scratching the surface.I made sure the clay was joined. It was a great job !!

High tea

Yesterday at Arohanui I hosted a high tea as part of my IPP goals. I had so much fun getting cups of tea for my mum.

Puzzles at lunch

I've been having lots of fun doing puzzles at lunch time with my friends.

Drama production

I was in the drama production last week.  I played the part of a shopkeeper.

Swimming

Decided to try out our underwater camera and show everyone how good I am at floating on my back
