Breast cancer morning tea

Yesterday we went to Wilrose for a special morning tea, breast cancer awareness week. We all had to try and wear something pink. We all had a really nice time.

Hunting for Eels!!!!

Today for our outing we went Eel hunting at a creek behind the Historic Village. There was a beautiful bush walk where the creeks were. We didn't see any Eels but enjoyed the walk in the nice weather.

A visit from tommy Kapai

This afternoon Tommy Kapai came in and visited us, we had some stories read to us and I got a signed copy of The adventures of the up tribe

Pottery

I had a lovely time in pottery.I made some sea shells from a mould.This was a practice for next week,I hope to make a vase decorated with the clay shells.

Boomerang Art

In cultural Arts we have been learning about Aboriginal Dot Painting and culture. I designed and made this boomerang using traditional colours and shapes.

S.P.C.A

This morning we went to the S.P.C.A and donated some Dog and Cat food and looked at all the animals while we were there. I always enjoy having a chat to the Parrots in the aviary. It was a good morning.

Pottery

I have now finished my pottery fish! I have made 2 and they are decorated beautifully with lots of colours....I really enjoyed making them!

Mossops Honey

Today for our Friday outing we went out to Tauriko to Mossops Honey shop. I had a taste test of the honey they make and we tried out the honey hand creams which smell really good. The indoor beehive was full of bee's. All the bee's make the honey that we tried out.
